A sourcing and inspection team in Yiwu
Mutual is a foreign-trade supply-chain team based in Yiwu, Zhejiang, next to the Yiwu International Trade City market. We run sourcing for overseas importers, wholesalers, brand owners and e-commerce sellers across consumer-goods categories, and we coordinate quality control and compliance on those orders. Quality Inspection China is the inspection and compliance coordination service of Mutual.
We work through two service lines. The first is bulk sourcing for wholesalers and importers: requirement confirmation, supplier selection, order placement, production follow-up and shipment consolidation. The second is fulfilment for e-commerce sellers: pick-and-pack coordination and onward logistics from our sourcing base. In both lines, quality control and compliance documentation are arranged per product, per destination market and per batch, with the standards agreed when the order is placed.
How we work: four principles
Prevention first
Quality problems are cheaper to prevent than to correct. Before production we check the supplier through background checks and on-site visits in and around Yiwu, including Jinhua, Yongkang, Pujiang and Dongyang. We review the production environment, equipment and the factory's own QC system, then grade the supplier A (strategic), B (qualified) or C (observe/remove). Production begins only after pre-production sample (PPS) confirmation, and each order is risk assessed before the first unit is made.
Full-process visibility
The inspections we coordinate follow the IQC to OQC chain: incoming materials, in-process checks, first-piece confirmation, finished goods and outgoing pre-shipment inspection. The standard rhythm is PPS confirmation, at least two in-production checks and a final OQC before shipment. Every checkpoint produces a record, and the PDF report you receive includes high-resolution photos, video, a defect list, corrective recommendations and re-inspection records. The final inspection report is sent to you for confirmation at least 3 days before shipment.
Client participation
You do not have to take our word for the condition of your goods. You may follow inspections by live video. You may also designate your own third-party inspection agency, such as SGS, Bureau Veritas, TÜV or Intertek, and we will coordinate the visit and the document flow. Sampling follows ANSI/ASQ Z1.4 / ISO 2859-1 at Major 2.5 / Minor 4.0; stricter levels such as 0.65 or 1.0 are available on request. Critical defects, including safety hazards and regulatory violations, are not accepted and the shipment stops.
Data-driven improvement
After each order we review the quality data, update supplier grades and run root-cause analysis on repeat defects using 8D, 5 Whys and CAPA. Where a batch fails, containment and a correction plan follow, and correction and re-inspection are targeted to complete within 48 hours to 7 days, subject to the factory's rework and the executing inspection party's re-inspection schedule. Records and samples for every batch are retained at least 12 months.
What we are not
- We are not a factory.
- We are not a testing laboratory. Testing is carried out by accredited (ISO 17025) laboratories you may designate; laboratory reports are issued by the laboratory and carry its report number.
- We are not a certification body. We do not issue certificates or test reports in our own name, and we do not provide generic or unverifiable reports.
- Market photographs on this site show the Yiwu International Trade City, not our premises.
One window for many factories
Consumer-goods orders rarely come from a single supplier. A kitchenware line, a stationery programme and a seasonal gift range may sit in three different factories with three different quality levels. We give you one contact for multi-category orders, one set of written standards and AQL levels applied across suppliers, and one consolidated shipment. Our team communicates with you in English, Spanish, Portuguese, German and Russian.
